Mercy

I was playing around on electric and came up with this riff. This is the stripped down acoustic version though. Bits of Psalm 145 fitted nicely into the expression of my heart cry. May do this electric at the next rumours night.

Scooping fun

Well, this is the first song of Ian’s on the site…… they don’t let me out much. Sometimes I find a quiet moment and this song is the kind of thing that can happen. So, we were away in Auckland and I had our little mac and Garage band and my Godin and some time… Continue reading Scooping fun

You alone – studio version

This is the studio version of You Alone. Ian is on electric and acoustic guitar, Simon on bass and Tanya (me) on keys, vocals and drums (I always wanted to be a drummer and play in time), compliments of Garage Band. Be Still And Know – studio version

An original song recorded on Ian’s Mac in his lounge. We had fun with the weird effects. Simon is singing and playing acoustic. No overdubs just playing to a loop. Simon couldn’t play to the metronome

Jesus You are Love

Listening to a Santana riff one day, I started to write about my obsession, “Jesus”. The rest is history…… Bob is on bass. Ian is on guitar playing lead. Simon is vocals and autowah rhythm. Tanya is BGV’s. Hey wait for the ebow at the end. Again Ian the legend is on to it!

The Pursuit

This song was written by Simon Atherfold, Gareth Morton and Bob Morton several years ago while worshiping together. Gareth had this weird Em Dm thing happening and that’s how it began. It was recorded at our “Rumours of worship” in August 2010. Tanya plays keys on it and sings backup – the rest is Simon.… Continue reading The Pursuit
