I wrote this piece late one night after travelling all day after visiting family down in Waikanae. The time with them had been so special and heart-filling. Traveling up the North Island on a beautiful day past open fields, along the Desert Road, past volcanic mountains covered with snow and alongside Lake Taupo which was like glass underneath a blue sky, was also soul-filling. We arrived to family who had made us a meal and so it was a welcome moment to be home with them. When I sat down to play my piano quite late that night before heading to bed, this is what arrived in my hands. Despite many things out there not being particularly hopeful, I felt hope rising and thought, 'it is always worth hoping for.....' (your hopes to be thought of here).
