Ahi means fire in Maori. Although none of us identify as Maori, we honour the whenua (land) where we live, Aotearoa (the Land of the Long White Cloud), and the tangata whenua (people of the land). It is fitting then, that Ahi is the first album in the collection. It contains a few songs written in both English and Te Reo and recognises our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi), the founding document of this nation.
